Here is finally the variety Priè Blanc, the variety most old in the Aosta Valley, one of progenitors of the others autochthonous varieties from Aosta Valley, as Mayolet, Bianco Commune and Prëmeta.
The rare autochthonous variety, typically ungrafted, resistant to cold, and thanks to climate conditions is not attacked by phylloxera practically never. The vegetation cycle is very short, the late budding , the late blooming and the early ripening. The Priè Blanc is cultivated on the low pergolas to avoid the damage because of the height of the snow and the strong wind in the winter conditions. The particular climate conditions give the possibility to limit the anti parasites treatment.
