Dietro ogni bottiglia di vino c’e una storia del produttore di vino

Silvano Strologo

God, touched by guilty, have had a dream ; the man added wine, holy son of the sun. “

Charles Baudelaire

I have to say, that I wanted   to visit the cellar of Silvano Strologo already  about two years ago, during my first visit a Marche, but I didn’t succeed because of time shortage.

This time I have succeeded. Cellar is situated close to Monte Conero, in Camerano.

Silvano Strologo had opportunity to refine and modernise the vinification technology, when he had taken reins of company initiated by Sante Giulio Strologo at 1960 . ( Sante Giulio Strologo was also one of the fathers founders of consortium of Rosso Conero DOC ).

And it is not so big surprise that also that in company of Silvano Strologo the oenology consultant was provided by one of the best of oenologs, Giancarlo Soverchia.

And visit was really pleasant from the two points of view. I have tasted their famous Incrocio Bruni of them, and also Rosso Conero, and several other wines, but even more than that, Signora Catia Schairoli, very kindly gave me a possibility to see the bottling, which I have never seen before.

To see the bottling is just like as performance of some big  philharmonic orchestra, all movements so precise , well calculated, well coordinated, everything in harmony…

The concert of labour… great..

After that we have continued with the wine degustation. Pink, Spumante Rosé Brut. Grape Montepulciano in purity. Affascinated  colour of salmon and the freshness of Spumante. I came back in my memory to this marvellous summer. Summer bubbles, those bubbles which were also the reason for visiting a cellar, were, as I have supposed, fresh, fruity, straight. Bubbles which I like to drink for aperitivo or just to drink like it is. To drink bubbles it is always a good idea.

But after! Incrocio Bruni! And emotions which brought me Acasio! It’s absolutely not only easily drinkable aromatic wine, like Sauvignon ( ok, ok, we are not talking about the serious Sauvignon from Sancerre appellation, which is absolutely the other thing ), one of the parents of Incrocio Bruni.

No, I just would like to say that impression is absolutely different.. The wine which brings an aroma of honey, beeswax, the smell is fantastic, really elevated. The wine is full of sun, of summer, of joy.

My god ! How different is this wine from Fior d’Acacia! Which doesn’t mean that Fior d’Acacia! is bad, no, absolutely no !

But Acasia is explosion of aromas, of emotions. Aroma of green apple, slight touch of vanilla, of Japanese quince. The wine is supple, sapid, mineral, persistent… The wine to taste absolutely!

Fior d’Acacia, Marche Igt, Incrocio Bruni 54, 2018. As I have already mentioned, the other grape from Marche which has taken my heart . At mouth elder flowers, hawthorn. The nose is closed at the first moment, it needs a time, but in mouth it’s immediately interesting, rich and different from Verdichio. In any case this grape isn’t so aromatic as Sauvignon.

Rosso Conero, 2018. The wine is worked at stainless steel tanks. Ruby red with reflections of garnet. Smell of forests fruits, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, all of them together  created an fascinating aroma. Mouth is fresh, with tannins, persistent.

In the range of wines there are several red ones, very interesting, as for example, Julius, Traiano or Decebalo, but my deepest impression belongs to Acasia.
